Demographics show that people are retiring later and staying in the workforce longer. Work hours have increased. These two factors have resulted in increasing risks and challenges. You must identify the issues before you can identify solutions.
Sustainability is not just about reducing waste in product and raw materials, it is about sustaining our workforce. This program discusses trends and solutions to help businesses reduce waste, insurance claims and pain for employee.

Melissa Black is the President and sole employee of MsR3, LLC although her partnerships, certifications and resources are value added and impressive. Melissa has her Master’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, holds a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation and a Certified Industrial Hygiene (CIH) designation. She is a Certified Utility Safety Administrator (CUSA); Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (CEAS) and obtained FEMA’s Emergency Management Professional Development Certification. She is an Adjunct Professor in Occupational Safety and Health Sciences at Columbia Southern University in the College of Safety and Emergency Services and the College of Criminal Justice, Homeland Security. She is also a part time Instructor for the National Safety Council. She is a proud affiliate of the Back School of Atlanta since 2013 and develops online courses and Webinars in partnership with this organization.
She began her career at Dow Chemical in Plaquemine, LA. in the Environmental lab and then transferred to plant operations. She then worked at Exxon Oil Refinery, Law Environmental Labs, was Director of Safety and Environmental for a Cegasa/Power Plus Battery Manufacturing. She was the Safety Director for one of the fastest growing counties in the nation for twenty-three years prior to retiring (transitioning) to her own consulting firm.
