In this webinar you will become familiar with the OSHA Publication “Ergonomics for the Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders - Guidelines for Retail Grocery Stores (RGS)” OSHA 3192-06N 2004.
You will learn to do an effective, comprehensive ergonomics evaluation in the Grocery Store setting.
In the grocery industry, thousands of grocery workers are injured each year to the extent that OSHA has produced guidelines for the ergonomics safety of this industry.
Three of the top ten causes involve: overexertion; bodily reactions; and repetitive motion. RGS are acutely aware that protection of their workers helps the bottom-line. This Webinar will focus only on the Retail Grocery Store environment as put forth in the OSHA “Guidelines for Retail Grocery Stores”.Objectives:
- Explain the historic and current problems facing RGS workers.
- Identify the risk factors and the problems confronted by the RGS worker.
- Outline various OSHA recommended solutions that have been implemented by stores.
- Confirm the systemic process that will help reduce MSD’s and costs associated with RGS workers.
